Serah has taken an interesting journey through the world of adult pop over the last decade. With offbeat albums that capture the tenor of the times while keeping it left of center, she has built a catalog that's been easy to under appreciate. Sticking to her indy guns, her latest release follows the trajectory people her age have been following.
This set is as easily at home on NPR as it is a 3A station as it is a hip yupscale gathering. With a load of first call talent on both sides of the glass, Serah is still here making great, new works after all the flavor of the month adult pop divas have gone on their way. A winning set that seems deceptively mainstream but is really a lot more. |
